Gehl Architects have been personally invited by the mayor of Moscow, Sergei Sobyanin, to advise the city on the very challenging assignment of improving the urban quality in this vast metropolis through people-oriented strategic planning. Russia's capital, where urban life is suffering from a lack of quality urban spaces, could better support a safe and attractive environment for people living in and visiting the city.
