'LILLE ARNE' AWARD FOR JAN GEHL

The award ‘Lille Arne’, named in honor of world renowned Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, in 2010 has been given to Professor Jan Gehl for his life-long contribution to the development of more people-friendly cities.
The award ‘Lille Arne’, named in honor of world renowned Danish architect Arne Jacobsen, in 2010 has been given to Professor Jan Gehl for his life-long contribution to the development of more people-friendly cities. In particular the Copenhagen chapter of The Architects' Association of Denmark, who have instituted the award, praise the exemplary research, the unique communication effort and the global education and consultancy work, carried out by Jan for more than 40 years, as the motivation for awarding him the ‘Lille Arne’.
