A new and unusual embassy is opening - Cycling Embassy of Denmark. The embassy has been established to meet the increasing demand to promote bicycling around the world. Gehl Architects, one of the founding members of the embassy, is involved in several bicycle projects around the world. Most prominently, Gehl Architects have been engaged by New York City and Mayor Michael Bloomberg, to create better infrastructure for cycling in New York. Also recently Gehl Architects have delivered a large scale bicycle strategy to Mexico City.Cycling Embassy of Denmark gathers the best information from the private, public and non-profit sectors in an effort to be the primary source of cycling knowledge and products.
