Gehl Architects were contacted by the municipality of Fredericia in order to develop a strategy plan for Fredericia known to be one of the most beautiful fortress cities.The municipality wanted the upcoming expansion of Fredericia and other single projects to be corresponding to a holistic public space program that could convey the unique history of the city and fortress and thus creating spaces with a lively and attractive public life.
